Lisa Perry was born in Australia. A middle child among two brothers, she became the quietly confident little bookworm. To escape the madness of male egos and loudest-body-function-syndrome, she found serenity in a book.
In the 3rd grade, Lisa was praised by her teacher for her story about vegetables coming to life and setting out on adventures throughout the house. “Veggie Tales” had nothing on “Veggie’s Alive” (well, except the fame and fortune brought to their creators, of course--if only patents were the in-thing back in the mid-eighties).
It did, however, spark an interest in creative writing and kickstart an active imagination (which was destined to get her into trouble). At 18, her fiercely independent streak broke free and Lisa embarked on a year abroad in the United States.
Having kept a journal of her adventures, she captured much more than mere memories. Four years later, she married her All-American boy (Cowboy boots and all), where they settled in Southern California. Three adorable children later—a lot less sane but a whole lot wiser—Lisa spends her days writing an array of genre-romances. Creating, researching, and beating her head against a wall, all the while living out her very own Happily Ever After.
